Cram coudlnt raise a side so a 9 aside friendly was played with the Pumas loaning to the home team.  Default score 60-14 to Peterlee.

Next week, home to Newcastle Storm which will be a tough game as they beat Sunderland 54-12 today.

Sean Condell opened the scoring for peterlee with a short burst over the line with james clark adding the 2 cramlington hit straight back after the pumas turned the ball over 6 all. Cram hit back through on loan puma daniel anderson. 10 6. Peterlee came back through hooker stu houghton, who converted his own kick 10 12. A good set with some slick passing put condell in for his second 12 16. Stu houghton broke the line next to take it to 22 after he converted. 16 22.  Cramlington came back with a break on half way.  24 22. James daniels scored next for peterlee with Houghton converting 24 28. Condell broke from the back of a scrum to go under houghton adding the 2, 24 34. Mark Cammis opened the second half with a try 14 38 but the home team gathered the ball from the ko and player coach andy stanton crossed under the posts 30 38.  Andrew turner scored next for the pumas 30 42. Mark watson took an inside pass to  score and converted his own try 30 48 condell got another in the corner, 30 52. Daniel anderson hit back for the home team, :the conversion making it 36 52. Second row carl brown crossed out wide and under the posts to score 36 52 but a penalty. Put the pumas in good position and adam howard scored 36 58. Anderson got another for  cramlington 42 58.

Peterlee grind out win Winlaton 22 Peterlee 30

Peterlee recovered the ball from the kick off and 4 hard drives later second row adam howard crashed over under the posts.  ScoTt jordan added the 2. 6 0.

Stephen stockdale crossed out wide next to make it 10 0. Scott jordan was next to score 14 0 and it all looked as if was going to be a similar game to when the Pumas routed the Vulcans a couple weeks ago but  Winlaton made a break deep in their own half and crossed under their posts. 6-16 to peterlee. As series of controvertial decisions began to turn the tide agains the Pumas, an aleged  double movement was given as a try to the home team which was converted to make it 12- 14. Ht 12 16.  Winlaton opened the 2nd half with a soft converted try to take the lead 18 14. Peterlee camped in the winlaton 20 and finally scott jordan went under the posts from a scrum move, jordan converted to make it 18 20 to peterlee.  Winlaton hit back in the corner capitalising on a pumas dropping a bomb 22 20  But Peterlee rallied and Steve stockdale hit back breaking the line from 30 out , jordan missed to kick 22 24 to peterlee with 10 minutes to go.  Michael foster crashed over under the posts to seal the win and scott jordan kicked the extras to close out the game 22-30 at full time.  A hard fought game with several Pumas missing saw the league leaders able to grind out a victory which will stand them in good stead over the next few weeks.

PETERLEE PUMAS U15S 50 WALLSEND EAGLES 0

A dominant 1st 5 minutes from peterlee was met with strong defence from wallsend who in turn put a strong attack in but peterlee countered and phil shields crossed out wide, joe wyman converted. Peterlee gave a penalty away under the posts but  held out the attack close to their line and broke out from their half, a sustained period in the Wallsend 20 was rewarded with a try from loose forward alex ruff breaking from the scrum, wyman converted. Jack robinson broke from the ko and scored wyman adding the 2. 18 0 ht.  Ruff repeated his move off the back of the scrum to get the 2nd half under way with another try with wyman stretching the lead with another 2 points 24 0 to peterlee. Beow rankin crossed wide on the left from the pumas taking a scrum against the head, joe missed the conversion 28 0. Danny Wilson got on the end of a shift wide from a pumas scrum and ran 90 meters to score under the posts, wyman added the extras 34 0. Wilson put a high bomb in on the wallsend full back who dropped the ball, ruff pounced on the mistake and hacked forward over the try line to score, wyman converted 40 0.  Jack adamson ran across the wallsend line and in at the corner on the right.. Another try from the pumas made the  Full time score peterlee pumas 50 wallsend 0 meaning the pumas 15s. Have an unattainable lead in the league with 1 more game to go away to cramlington before the play-offs and cup semi finals begin.

OUR LADY OF THE ROSERY PASS SKILLS AWARD
  

Year 6 Pupils from Peterlee School "Our Lady of the Rosary" recently passed Rugby League Skills awards.  Completing a 6 week course given by Peterlee Pumas the Pupils were put through their paces and came through with flying colours.  Mr Andrew Bainbridge said  " Class 1 have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and developed their skills and enthusiasm for the game. Our girls in particular have made outstanding progress. Thank you. Mr Bainbridge"  The Pumas and School have renewed a long standing school cub link and have strong links with other schools where they plan to deliver the skills award to also and the club hopes to set up more links with other primary schools in the coming school term.  Anyone wishing to take part in Rugby League activities should contact the Pumas on 0790 3731901 or visit or contact Helford Road Pavillion 0191 586 9957 where the Pumas are based.
