PUMAS AT HOME FOR NEXT 3 WEEKS

PETERLEE PUMAS OPEN AGE TEAM will be at home for the next 3 weekends, Laughing KO's are at 14:30 against Newcastle, Sunderland and Jarrow respectively, all  teams are playing for a place in the North East Final  on the 14th August and will be coming down to put a performance in so Peterlee will have to be at thier best, Yell not easy when other teams dont turn up to play them all the time messing up the continuity of the team but we will give it a go.Innocent We are also looking for some 9 aside games for our second team who havent really been able to get a game this season, hoping some people can put thier hands up for the 7th August perhaps.
 

OUR LADY OF THE ROSERY PASS SKILLS AWARD

Year 6 Pupils from Peterlee School "Our Lady of the Rosary" recently passed Rugby League Skills awards.  Completing a 6 week course given by Peterlee Pumas the Pupils were put through their paces and came through with flying colours.  Mr Andrew Bainbridge said  " Class 1 have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions and developed their skills and enthusiasm for the game. Our girls in particular have made outstanding progress. Thank you. Mr Bainbridge"  The Pumas and School have renewed a long standing school cub link and have strong links with other schools where they plan to deliver the skills award to also and the club hopes to set up more links with other primary schools in the coming school term.  Anyone wishing to take part in Rugby League activities should contact the Pumas on 0790 3731901 or visit or contact Helford Road Pavillion 0191 586 9957 where the Pumas are based.

Peterlee Pumas completed a clean sweep of the league section of the North East Rugby league, winning every game the pumas now face a long wait till the finals but 9 aside festivals and touring games are coming up over the next few weeks.

The home team capitalised on a pumas mistake deep in their own half ans. Scored out wide 6 0. The pumas bounced the ball out from the kick off and alex ruff broke from the scrum to go under the posts, adamson added the 2. Boauwe rankin got a try in the left corner  from a shift wide. 6 10 to peterlee. Kane watts crossed next for peterlee 6 14. Ryan daniels scored next for the pumas with adamson adding the extras, 6 20 at ht.  Ryan daniels broke the line from a scrum move on the pumas 20. Ruff converted 6 26.  Cramlington received a string of penalties which enabled then to camp on the pumas line and eventually score a converted try 12 26 peterlee hit straight back with a try from george Hedgley. 12 30. Simon lynch came in of the wing to cross on the left 12 34.  Jack robinson got on the end of a shift wide right and under the posts 12 40.
