CHAIRMAN

  • Chair meetings

· Co-ordinate match days

· Check raffle operating (volunteer)

· Check gateman / programme seller in place (volunteer)

· Meet and greet teams and officials (self)

· Check scorer in place (volunteer)

· Check first-aid in place (volunteer or bought in)

· Check food provision okay (bought in)

· Check changing rooms, showers etc. okay (bought in )

· Check mascot okay (volunteer)

· Check reporter okay (volunteer)

· Check if a touch judge is needed (volunteer)

COACHES

There are various coaching positions available at the Club.

Head and Assistant Coaching positions for

The Men’s Team (Open Age Team)

Women

All Junior ages.

If you are interested in learning how to coach you do not need to have any previous experience and you can start at various different levels. Whilst it should be noted that it is a big responsibility to take on, it also provided many rewards of its own.

· Arrange and run coaching sessions

· Select and inform team

· Arrange kit wash etc.

· Organise team affairs on match day

FIXTURE AND TRANSPORT SECRETARY

· Seek quotes, book and confirm buses

  • Arrange referees

· Contact opposition to arrange and confirm match venues, times and other details

TREASURER

· Maintain accounts and present for audit

· Pay in monies e.g. raffle collections, sponsorship

  • Write cheques

SECRETARY

· Produce agenda for meetings in liaison with chair and coaches

  • Minute meetings

· Receive and reply to correspondence

· Write letters as determined by committee

PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

· Write match reports or commission someone to do same

· Arrange other publicity with local paper and RL media

· Produce programme or commission someone to do same (will need close liaison with coaches)

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Chairman, General Committee, Club Members

JOB PURPOSE:

To be responsible for the administration of all club matters

ESSENTIAL:

Secretarial and communication skills

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

TASK

To collate the minutes and distribute copies of all the meetings of the general committee

To work with the Chairman, general committee and sub-committees to produce appropriate plans/strategy

To play a lead role in the management of the club

To be responsible for all administration duties relating to running a safe, organised and child friendly club

To assist the general committee in the co-ordination, management and implementation of the action plan/ strategy

Attend planning meetings with relevant committees as and when required.

Assist the general committee in facilitating the teambuilding and group work discussions

To assist in the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of the plan/ strategy

To assist the general committee to identify clear and measurable targets within the plan/strategy

To help identify and implement methods of obtaining feedback from club members

In conjunction with the general committee ensure appropriate codes of conduct, and the highest standards of behaviour, are developed and adhered to for both the playing and non-playing staff throughout the whole club

To help produce an agreed code of conduct for both playing and non-playing staff and ensure all have a copy

Identify disciplinary procedures for player or non-playing staff who break the code of conduct

JOB PURPOSE:

To be responsible for selecting, training and preparing of a squad which will compete in competition.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES

TASK

In conjunction with the football committee, coaching team and support staff design an appropriate coaching plan/strategy with identified timescales, processes and resources to select, train and prepare the squad

Consult with the coaching team and support staff to produce an appropriate coaching plan/strategy

To be responsible for the co-ordination, management and implementation of the coaching plan/strategy

Organise and facilitate planning meetings with relevant coaching and support staff as and when required.

Along with the Assistant Coach, deliver the practical training, particularly the tactical training.

Take the lead role in facilitating the squad teambuilding and group work discussions.

Attend appropriate training to help in the implementation of the plan.

To be responsible for the implementation of monitoring and evaluation of the coaching plan/strategy

To ensure the plan/strategy has clearly identified and measurable targets.

Identify and implement methods of obtaining feedback from players after every squad training and playing session.

To maintain records of attendance at all coaching sessions.

To be responsible for providing feedback to players on their progress and performance as and when required

To attend all training sessions to assess players’ ability.

Be available to players on training sessions to provide positive constructive feedback.

To attend relevant school/club games to assess players’ ability and progress as and when required.

To assist and advise relevant persons in regard to talent identification

Provide regular updates to the Football committee

In conjunction with the football committee, coaching team and support staff, ensure appropriate codes of conduct, and the highest standards of behaviour, are developed and adhered to for both the playing and non-playing staff throughout the whole season

To produce an agreed code of conduct for both playing and non-playing staff and ensure all have a copy

Identify disciplinary procedures for player or non-playing staff who break the code of conduct

To liaise with the team manager regarding match day arrangements, to ensure the smooth running of fixtures

Close liaison with Team Manager regarding kick off times, bus pick up times etc

Close liaison with Team Manager regarding match reports, referee reports and other match day requirements.
